[ACTIVE] September is National Senior Center Month

It’s a New Day!
Westmoreland celebrates National Senior Center Month

September is National Senior Center Month and Westmoreland County’s Centers for Active Adults will be celebrating with Open Houses throughout the month. Senior Centers have been empowering older adults to embody the national theme -- Experts at Living Well -- for 40 years. But here in Westmoreland County, it’s a new day and Centers are changing with the times…….

In communities from East Vandergrift to Mt Pleasant and at all of our 13 centers in between, Centers for Active Adults are enjoying these activities: Biking, Day Trips to Pirate game and Rock N Roll Hall of Fame, Brain Games, Yoga, Zumba Gold, Fall prevention programs, Computer classes and Line dancing.

The name has changed, but the mission of enhancing the lives of older adults remains the same. Come, play and discover new talents, hobbies and friends at your local Center for Active Adults.
