accessAbilities provides in-home services for nearly 2,000 children, adults, and seniors with developmental delays or disabilities in Armstrong, Indiana, and Westmoreland counties. For more than 55 years, the agency has been providing the supports consumers with physical and/or cognitive disabilities need to live in their homes and to participate in community life.

APPRISE is a free health insurance counseling program for anyone on Medicare. Counselors are specially trained to answer questions and provide objective, easy to understand information about Medicare, Medicare Supplemental Insurance, Medicaid and programs that may assist with Medicare premiums and prescriptions.

Established in 1983, Three Rivers Center for Independent Living (TRCIL) is a consumer-controlled, community-based, cross-disability, non-residential, non-profit organization. Our mission is to empower people with disabilities to enjoy self-directed, personally meningful lives providing outstanding consumer-controlled services and by advocating for effective community change. TRCIL's vision is to assist in the elimination of all physical, attitudinal, communication and systems barriers so that people with disabilities have equal opportunities and the right to full participation in society.

As a Center for Independent Living (CIL), TRCIL provides four core services: Advocacy (Individual & Systems), Peer Support, Independent Living Skills Training, and Information & Referral.

Some additional TRCIL services include: assistive technology, personal assistance services, home & community-based waiver programs, nursing home transition, and Living Well with a Disability.

The Westmoreland County Area Agency on Aging was created in 1967. Our agency is designated by the state to administer human service programs at the local level. Our goal is to provide opportunities and services to adults, age 60 and older, in order to promote their best possible well-being. The agency is staffed by skilled workers in various fields, including, but not limited to: information & referral, assessment, care management, and protective services.
